covid 19

Covid-19 has affected New Zealand in a few ways. That is why we are in lock down. Covid-19 is a little virus similar to the flu only more harmful to some. You can not see it if you walk in it. It is contagious and can be passed on from human to human and possibly by touching something that a person who has covid-19 touched. You must try to avoid touching your nose, your eyes and your mouth.
So far New Zealand has 1124 confirmed cases in New Zealand, 1214 recovered cases and 19 deaths. The best treatment NZ has to fight Covid-19 is to stay home and stay safe, wash our hands always and try to keep a safe distance from everyone not in our bubble when leaving our home.
NZ is currently in Level 3 lockdown as of 11:59pm Monday Night. What I have seen in the news since being in lockdown Level 4 for 5 weeks is that everyone was lining up for miles at fast food restaurant drive thru’s for the food they have not been able to have for those 5 weeks.
It is mainly through the droplets produced when an infected person speaks, coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in someone's mouth or noses of people who are nearby. These droplets are too heavy to travel far in the air; they only travel 1 metre and quickly settle on surfaces. When you cough, do the dab and cough in your elbow or use a tissue the effective way to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus is to clean your hands frequently with an alcohol based hand rub or soap and water this will eliminate the virus if it is on your hands.
