Interviewing peter
Hi my name is Tiara and I will be asking you questions.
Why were your friends not so supportive? Because of my arm
Why didn’t you refuse to take the seahorse? Because Tresha said I should take it?
What really happened to your arm? It is somewhere in the water.?
Are you still scared to go into the water? No?
How was the seahorse dry when it was in the water?

spanish flu
The Spanish Flu
What Is It?: an unusually deadly flu Pandemic that was caused by the H1N1 Influenza A Virus also known as the swine flu.
When Did It Happen?: The Spanish Flu happened in 1918. Which is also known as the 1918 Flu Pandemic.
How Did It Come to New Zealand?: It was thought that it arrived in Auckland on the Royal Mail Liner Niagara which had come from VanCouver and San Francisco on the 12th October 1918 except that Doctors in Auckland had said that 6 people had already died from the virus 3 days prior to the Liner arriving in New Zealand. The Niagara was only 1 of many ships that arrived in New Zealand from overseas. So to this day no one knows the exact answer to how it came to New Zealand.
What Happened To The People?: The second wave of the flu pandemic killed about 9000 New Zealanders in less than 2 months. The spanish flu did not occur evenly with the people of New Zealand.
6400 Pakeha were killed from the virus and 2500 Maori people were killed in only 6 weeks. The Maori people were dying at eight times the rate of the pakeha people.
What I Found Interesting?: what i found interesting was that people still don’t know the exact answer to how it came to New Zealand and that the flu pandemic killed 9000 New Zealanders.
